Trees
Every yard needs a tree. Trees provide cool, shady spots to sit in during the long hot days of summer, they “frame” your home or landscape, give you something to hang your birdhouse in and some will provide delicious fresh fruit. Trees are categorized as shade, fruiting & flowering. Within each category, you will find dwarf/small trees and larger growers, so choose trees according to the space they will inhabit and their overall size at maturity.
Conifers
Most conifers are evergreen (keep foliage year round) so they add interest to the landscape 12 months out of the year. Conifers are available in various colors, textures, shapes & sizes. We carry dwarf conifers for small spaces and larger growers for use as screens or specimens.
Shrubs
A varied & versatile plant group, shrubs are a landscape staple. With so many choices, you are bound to find shrubs to suit your fancy.
Groundcovers
Groundcovers are useful for soil retention and erosion control. Their low growing and spreading habit allows for quick soil coverage, thus reducing weed growth.
Vines
Sometimes a vine is the perfect solution, especially for accenting a trellis, arbor or fence. Consider a small growing, dainty clematis for accompanying your climbing rose, a honeysuckle to cover that old stump or perhaps a rapidly spreading Wisteria to plant near your sturdy pergola.
Ornamental Grasses
Ornamental grasses are fabulous plants to use in the landscape! Add sophistication & interest with their wonderful textures, colors and movement. Many well- behaved varieties are available, and for just about any situation: containers/planters, sunny areas, shady areas, low and mounding to tall and stately specimens.
